Festivals Malta Jniedi t-Tieni Edizzjoni ta’ Mużika Mużika

Applikazzjonijiet għal Mużika Mużika 2022 issa miftuħa



Wara r-ritorn grandjuż tal-Festival Kanzunetta Maltija permezz tal-ewwel edizzjoni ta’ Mużika Mużika; festival li ġie mxandar fuq it-televiżjoni u li attira ‘l fuq minn 320,000 telespettatur fuq medda ta’ tlett iljieli, Festivals Malta ħabbar id-dati tat-tieni edizzjoni ta’ Mużika Mużika li ser isir fl-24, 25 u 26 ta’ Marzu 2022.

Dawk interessati li jixtiequ jipparteċipaw għat-tieni edizzjoni tal-festival jistgħu japplikaw fuq is-sit elettroniku ta’ Mużika Mużika bejn is-17 ta’ Lulju u l-15 t’Ottubru 2021.

Preżenti għat-tnedija kien hemm il-Ministru José Herrera, li faħħar is-suċċess li ottjena l-festival, li għalkemm ġie mtella’ fi żmien diffiċli, xorta waħda rnexxilu jilħaq standard ta’ produzzjoni għolja li ġiet milqugħa mit-telespettaturi, parteċipanti u professjonisti ewlenin fl-industrija.

“L-għan tagħna hu li nkomplu ninvestu f’dawn il-festivals, li jservu kemm bħala pjattaforma fejn l-artisti Maltin jesponu t-talenti bil-lingwa tagħhom kif ukoll bħala sors ta’ divertiment ta’ kwalita` għolja għat-telespettaturi u s-segwaċi tagħhom”, qal Herrera.

Ic-Chairman ta’ Mużika Mużika, Raymond Bugeja, ikkummenta “Wara s-suċċess tal-ewwel edizzjoni jiena kburi ngħid li Mużika Mużika ser jerġa jirritorna f’Marzu li ġej. Il-Preparamenti għall-festival diġa għaddejjin ġmielhom u aħna qed nistennew bil-ħerqa li nibdew nirċievu s-sottomissjonijiet. Is-sena li għaddiet kellna 149 sottomissjoni minn artisti li jirrapreżentaw ġeneri ta’ mużika differenti, u din is-sena qed nistennew li naraw dan in-numru jitla’. Aħna ninkoraġġixxu lil kulħadd biex japplika, ikun xi jkun il-ġeneru tal-kanzunetta. Dan il-pajjiż għandu talent mill-aqwa u Mużika Mużika joffri xhieda ta’ dan.”



Is-Sur Bugeja ħabbar li apparti minn hekk, is-semifinalisti kif ukoll numru ta’ artisti emerġenti ser ikunu jistgħu jesebixxu t-talenti tagħhom fuq programm televiżiv fuq TVM, li ser jiddokumenta l-avventura tagħhom waqt il-preparamenti għall-festival.”

“Wieħed mill-għanjiet ewlenin ta’ Festivals Malta huwa li joffri diversi pjattaformi fejn l-artisti tagħna jistgħu jesebixxu t-talenti tagħhom waqt li jsaħħaħ il-kalendarju kulturali Malti permezz ta’ produzzjonijiet tal-għola kwalita`. Nista’ ngħid b’wiċċi minn quddiem li permezz ta’ Mużika Mużika irnexxielna jisboq l-aspettattivi kollha. Dan il-festival irnexxilu jerġa jixħet attenzjoni xierqa fuq il-mużika Maltija”, spjega c-Chairman ta’ Festivals Malta, Norman Hamilton.

Il-Kap Eżekuttiv ta’ Festivals Malta, s-Sa Annabelle Stivala, spjegat li Festival bħal Mużika Mużika jmur oltre milli jipprovdi pjattaforma fejn l-artisti lokali jistgħu jesebixxu t-talenti tagħhom, billi joħloq diversi opportunitajiet ta’ xogħol differenti għal nies li jaħdmu fl-industrija tad-divertiment – “għan li sar ta’ priorita kbira għalina kollha tul dawn iż-żmienijiet diffiċli.”

Il-premjijiet ta’ Mużika Mużika għal din is-sena ser ikunu ta’ €20,000 għall-ewwel premju, €10,000 għat-tieni premju u €5,000 għat-tielet premju. Ser jingħataw ukoll premjijiet għall-Aħjar Interpretazzjoni u l-Aħjar Kompożizzjoni. Is-semifinalisti kollha ser jirċievu wkoll €500 kull wieħed biex itaffu ftit mill-ispejjeż li jġib miegħu festival bħal dan. Fl-aħħar u mhux l-inqas, Festivals Malta ser jipproduċi vidjow mużikali għall-kanzunetta rebbieħa bħal fl-edizzjoni li għaddiet.

Festivals Malta Launches the Second Edition of Mużika Mużika: Submissions for Mużika Mużika 2022 now open

Following the much awaited return of the Festival Kanzunetta Maltija with the first edition of Mużika Mużika; a televised song festival which attracted over 320,000 viewers over 3 nights, Festivals Malta announced the dates of the second edition of Mużika Mużika which will take place on the 24th, 25th and 26th March 2022.

Interested applicants who wish to participate in the second edition of this festival may apply on the Mużika Mużika website between the 17th July and the 15th of October 2021.

Present for the launch was Minister José Herrera who applauded the success attained by the first edition of the festival, which was produced during very challenging times, nonetheless managed to achieve a very high production standard as recognised by viewers, participants and key stakeholders in the entertainment industry.

“Our aim is to continue investing in these festivals, both as a platform for Maltese artists to showcase their talent in our national language and also as a means of providing high quality entertainment for the viewers and followers of the festivals”, said Herrera.

Mużika Mużika Chairman, Raymond Bugeja, stated "After the success of the first edition, I am very proud to say that Mużika Mużika will be returning next March. Preparations for the festival are already underway and we are looking forward to start receiving submissions. Last year we had 149 submissions from artists representing different music genres and this year we are hoping to see an increase. We encourage everyone to apply, irrespective of the song’s genre. This country has no shortage of great talent, and Mużika Mużika is a testament to that.”

Mr Bugeja announced that in addition, the semi-finalists as well as a selection of emerging artists, will also feature in a television programme on TVM, which will document the journey leading up to the festival.”

“One of the main aims of Festivals Malta is to provide various platforms where artists can perform while, at the same time, enriching the Maltese cultural calendar with high quality productions. I can safely say that through Mużika Mużika we have managed to exceed all expectations and then some; this festival has once again put Maltese music back in the spotlight, which it so much deserves”, explained Festivals Malta Chairman, Mr Norman Hamilton.

Ms Annabelle Stivala, CEO of Festivals Malta highlighted that a festival like Mużika Mużika’s contribution goes beyond providing a platform for local artists to express themselves, it also creates several jobs for people who work in the entertainment industry – “a goal that has become a huge priority for us during these challenging times”.

This year’s prizes for Mużika Mużika will be that of €20,000 for first prize, €10,000 for second prize and €5,000 for the third prize. Prizes will also be given to The Best Interpretation and The Best Composition. The semi-finalists will also receive the sum of €500 each to cover some of the expenses related to the festival. Last but not least, similar to the last edition, Festivals Malta will also be producing a music video for the winning song.
